Amelia Adams

Amelia Adams is an experienced and well regarded journalist and presenter. She can be seen daily on Channel 9 presenting the Morning and Afternoon News, and filling in presenting on the Today Show.

Since joining the Nine News team in 2009, Amelia has worked on and travelled extensively to cover a range of national and international stories such as the Christchurch earthquake (2010), the Christmas Island boat tragedy (2010), and the tsunami and nuclear disaster in Japan (2011).

Amelia co-hosted Nine's rolling coverage of Queensland's Cyclone Yasi (2011), the US Presidential Election (2012) and the Labor Leadership Spill (2013). She was also part of the Nine News team based in New Delhi for the Commonwealth Games (2010).

Previously, Amelia worked as a journalist at Sky News, Seven News and Ten News.

Off the screen, Amelia is a vibrant host and MC having held the microphone at events such as the Inside St Vincent’s speakers series and the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute fundraiser ball.

She is a passionate ambassador for the Leukemia Foundation, having lost her best friend to blood cancer in 2011. She also works with Enough is Enough, campaigning against bullying and violence.
