Charli Robinson is a multi-talented Radio and TV presenter, actor, entertainer, MC and voice over artist with over 10 years of on-set experience. Charli is the energetic co-host of Network Ten’s – It’s a Knock Out . 2012 will see Charli joining SEA –FM’s Breakfast team and she will continue hosting The Dirt which is broadcast nationally at 7pm on the Southern Cross Austereo Network and covers ‘stars, gossip and scandal’ in the celebrity world.
A recent TV highlight was co-hosting the Lady Gaga Live event with Jules Lund for Go! Charli can also be seen reporting on entertainment for the Seven Networks The Morning Show. She’s been busy judging Miss Universe Australia 2011 and the Rock Eisteddfod, and singing on the Nine Networks Telethon and Seven Networks Carols in the Domain.
2008 was a big year with her departure from Hi 5 she has stepped out of the children’s entertainment arena and into mainstream programs with a role as judge on the successful program Battle of the Choirs and then making the finals as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, roving live crosses for the Seven network’s Spring Racing Carnival and hosting for Dancesports.
The former member of the internationally acclaimed children’s group Hi-5, which airs in over 83 countries and has sold more than 900,000 records, has continued to build on her popularity. Charli has won 5 ARIA Awards, 3 Logie Awards and a Helpman Award for her work on Hi-5.
Charli has also been a guest presenter on numerous TV shows including Getaway, What’s Good for You, Spicks and Specks, Backyard Blitz and Good News Week. Her time in Hi5 gave Charli over 10 years experience of filming live, recording albums and working with numerous directors. Along with her years of dancing training she has undertaken drama training with John Noble, she has also completed various NIDA courses and tuition with Kevin Jackson. Charli has a Diploma in Performing Arts from Brent Street School of Performing Arts.
Charli is involved with many charity organizations, including The Day of Difference Foundation, and she is the patron of the Hunter School of Performing Arts. Charli is also passionate about yoga and healthy living and has participated in the Australian Yoga Championships for the past 3 years. She has fulfilled her childhood dream of playing ‘Sandy’ in Grease in ‘Grease on the Beach’ a production which raised money for Olivia Newton John Cancer and Wellness Centre.
Charli is an in demand MC and entertainer, she’s a favorite for Christmas events and around spring carnival time hosting raceday events. An experienced voice artist, she has voiced numerous commercials for Austereo and played the lead role in the animated feature film ‘Tegan the Vegan’ alongside Noni Hazelhurst and Andrew Denton.
