James Kerley

James Kerley has had an incredibly diverse career in both radio and television. Recently James was seen on The Comedy Channel playing the ‘evil game show host’ (Of Alex Zane UK Notoriety) in the hugely successful Balls of Steel , with record breaking ratings for the channel. 2011 also saw James co-host late night indy music chat show Uplate for Mcguire Media. James nationally co-hosted The Nova Top Ten weeknights throughout 2010 and Channel [V]’s hugely popular trivia game show Cash Cab from it’s first to most current series. James also hosted the local version of the global franchise Australia Smashes Guinness World Records on the Channel Seven network.

James began his career as a Nickelodeon host of the long running Sarvo show (Foxtel). His strong background in impro and writing coupled with polished MC’ing skills and natural comedic style has seen him co-host the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards twice and as guest presenter at the Aria Awards.

Proving to be a popular and charismatic presenter, Kerley landed a role on Australia‘s premier music channel, Channel [V] (Foxtel). He has since interviewed dozens of international artists naming Silverchair, The Prodigy, Kings of Leon, Lady Ga Ga, Kanye West, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrel and Steve Carrel as some of his most memorable.

While at Channel [V] Kerley created, named, developed and presented the music travel format B430 with Channel [V] (currently in it’s 4th series) and co-hosted and co-wrote the hilarious Dave and Kerley show , highlighting his comic acting, writing, eye for format development and commitment to making programming reach it’s potential. Steadily becoming a popular face of youth culture, Kerley has travelled throughout Australia, The US and Europe for TV and radio interests.

Kerley also hosted Network Ten's daily entertainment program, Taken Out a 65 episode unscripted dating show that also aired nationally on Foxtel for over 18 months.

As a talented writer, Kerley has written for Cleo magazine in addition to regular articles in various Australian publications. He also won appeal as a finalist in Cleo Bachelor of the Year 2010 and 2008, winning Best Campaign.

James has also appeared acting in a number of TV shows, commercials and short films.
