Natalie Garonzi

Fun, exuberant and beautiful, Natalie is a uniquely talented television and radio presenter.

Natalie is co-host of the hottest new television chat show Uplate!, alongside Shura Taft and James Kerley, which premiered its first season in July this year on Channel Nine’s GO!. Shot live in front of a studio audience at underground bar Mink in St Kilda, Uplate! kept viewers in the know weekly with the hottest gigs, entertainment news, and live music from Australia and abroad. Each week friends Natalie, James and Shura hosted celebrities and joined partygoers to provide an exclusive backstage pass to what we are ‘wearing, watching, and listening to……and who we’re doing it with!’.

In 2010 Natalie successfully completed Australia’s first ever 12 week series of The Xtra Factor on Seven Network’s 7Two. The Xtra Factor captured LIVE the aftermath of The X Factor’s Live Performance and Results shows, for some- celebration, and for others the devastation. Natalie was ever ready to delve into all of the emotion and action once the cameras had stopped rolling on The X Factor. Natalie was commended for her engaging and confident approach as host, chatting and interacting closely with contestants, the judges and the audience. She exclusively controlled the live format of all behind the scenes and backstage, live phone-ins, competitions, live Twitter and Facebook messaging as well as hosting a rotating panel of experts from radio, newspapers, magazines, television and the music industry which lined-up each week to talk to her on The Xtra Factor.

Natalie has appeared as correspondent on Channel Ten’s national program the 7pm Project, she has also graced our screens on Foxtel’s Comedy Channel, testing her skills as a regular cast member up against some of Australia’s top comedians on the improvisation series, Comedy Slapdown. Slapdown is an original format created by Fremantle Media and hosted by HG Neilson. Teams would go up against each other in a fast paced impro show and to her credit; Natalie was the only talent to be cast who doesn’t actually have professional stand up or improvisation background. She had an absolute ball with this!

Throughout 2007 and 2008, Natalie co-hosted Channel Nine’s The Mint, winning the role over hundreds who auditioned. She skillfully talked her way through a four hour LIVE television show, a mean feat in anyone’s eyes!

Natalie further utilised these skills regularly on Nova’s Brisbane radio station, filling in regularly whilst living in Brisbane from 2008 to 2010. She also co- hosted the coveted Breakfast Show during Summer 2009, to wonderful feedback from listeners.

In 2003 and 2004 respectively, Natalie also hosted the Seven Network’s reality television shows Wedding Switch and Playing it Straight.

Natalie’s big break in television came in 2002, when she went for an audition as a then, wide-eyed model and won the role to co-host Nickelodeon’s sn:tv, a popular Saturday morning kids TV show on Foxtel. During 2002 and 2003 as co-host of sn:tv, Natalie also racked up 45 live episodes of S’arvo on Nickelodeon and was selected to host the prestigious Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards for Foxtel National.

In her modelling days, Natalie appeared in international fashion parades for Chanel, Vera Wang, Gucci, Armani and Escada, in Australian Fashion Week from 1993 to 2006 and has been the face in various television commercials over the years.

Natalie is not your average model turned presenter - she has studied script development, character development, improvisation and camera skills. Only having ever auditioned for one acting job, Natalie landed the role of Brie in the Australian feature film You & Your Stupid Mate, along-side Nathan Phillips, Angus Sampson and Madeleine West.
