Our very own Kate Waterhouse rocked Sydney's Martin Place in more ways than one to promote the 2012 Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour.
First off the rank was a once in a lifetime ride aboard "Duffield" carrying the $175k Emirates Melbourne Cup trophy, followed by a quick change into spring attire for the Sunrise Kochie's Angels segment. However nothing would have been complete without some key fashion advice from Kate to celebrate 50 years of fashion in the field at Flemington to close Australia's most popular morning show.

McKenney will tour the country later in the year with his new show dedicated to Allen, Stories of Peter Allen.
He will bring the show to Melbourne for a performance at the Palms in Crown on December 1.
The entertainer has been a life-long admirer of Allen.
His breakthrough as a performer came when he starred as the first Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz.
One time Allen left a message on his phone-answering machine about tickets to a show, McKenney explains.
"He left a message on my old answering machine telling me he got tickets to the show that night," he said.
"I made his message my answering-machine message for years.
"So, people would ring me and they would get, 'Hi, Doll, it's Peter Allen'.
"A friend would say to me, 'Isn't it funny all those years ago people would ring you and get Peter and then they would come and see Peter and they would get you'."
Tickets for the the show are available through Ticketek.

Yummy mummy and Adelaide radio identity Hayley Pearson will today take the reins of the SA racing circuit's most fashionable role.
The SAFM brekkie show host is the new ambassador for Fashion at the Races, a statewide search for horseracing's most fashionable filly - a racegoer, not horse, that is.
Hayley, who takes over the role from Channel 10's Kate Freebairn, says having grown up in Adelaide she has many fond memories of local race meets - but now is going to have to up her game in the style stakes.
"I am so truly honoured to be named Fashion at the Races Ambassador. It's such an exciting opportunity for me," Hayley tells Confidential. "Although the pressure is on now - I have to make sure I'm on trend too.
She adds: "The No. 1 rule I learnt growing up is - girls, we can't show leg and cleavage. It's one or the other."
The mum to six- month-old Austin will host several Fashion at the Races events across SA over the coming year, with the Gawler Cup in September her first official appearance.
Across Hayley's tenure, 15 of the state's most stylish racegoers will be selected over 26 race meetings throughout the year, culminating next year on South Australian Oaks Day at Morphettville Racecourse.
