Nic Kelly

Nic Kelly is a music superfan and has been working as a broadcaster for well over a decade. He co-hosts the Hit Network’s national night show The Hot Hits, alongside Loren Barry, where they chat to the industry’s biggest names as well as emerging stars. Connecting with audiences is Nic’s priority, and he loves to harness the power of music as a universal language to achieve connection.

Kelly is a life-long radio enthusiast with over 13 years industry experience, mostly calling SCA’s Hit Network home. There is almost no shift across the day that Nic hasn’t presented – being a go-to for shifts across 2DayFM Sydney, FOX Melbourne, B105 Brisbane, SAFM Adelaide, Mix94.5 Perth, Sea FM Gold Coast and HIT stations nationwide.

Nic’s career has also been varied off-air, back in 2015 being Exec Producer & Presenter of AMPLIFY, a youth video content brand in partnership with Twitter. He hosted more than 600 videos about pop culture, news & music including interviews with stars including Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron.

Kelly’s way with words shines in written form too – his blog ‘Project U’ spent a decade as one of pop music’s most powerful global forces, and as the first outlet in Australia to cover artists like Troye Sivan, 5SOS and Years & Years. His music credentials are unrivalled – being an official Australian juror in Eurovision in 2016, previously having his own record label ‘Night High’ in collaboration with EMI Music Australia, and being a DJ with hundreds of gigs under his belt to-boot.

Happy to be a go-to expert any time music expertise is needed – Kelly has appeared on national TV and radio programs as a trusted talking head. Having also worked with labels like Universal and Sony on social content production, Nic understands the intricacies of what makes content pop. To top it all off, he’s a charismatic event MC with experience across a range of live event settings.

Kelly is passionate about a number of social causes including dementia awareness, LGBTQIA+ causes, and amplifying the voices of Regional Australia.
